Two hours south of Rio, lie the area between Angra dos Reis and Paraty. Angra dos Reis is the biggest yacht charter pole of Brazil with thousands of beaches and islands. Angra lies in the centre of the Costa Verde in the state of Rio de Janeiro, one of the most beautiful regions of the country in which dozens of nautical clubs and hotels are based near the sea.
The real attraction of Angra, lies on the islands, Ilha Grande and Ilha Bela.
Paraty can be found several miles away. It is an ancient city full of protected colonial constructions. Paraty's bay also encloses dozens of islands, beaches and abundant vegetation. Protected by Ilha Grande, this huge bay with its 365 islands provides an ideal cruising ground for a yacht charter in Angra with a regular daily sea breeze between around 10 knots, and short distances between the islands inviting you to stop in secluded anchorages.
Climate
The climate in Angra dos Reis is tropical, hot and very humid. Average temperatures vary between 25°C and 30°C the whole year, but may rise up to 40°C from December to March.
The sun shines all year long and the rains are very constant, specially in the end of summer (February and March).
