Malta is a stunning destination with plenty of architecture and scenery to please everyone. But more than just a historical gem, Malta is a heaven for yacht charter enthusiasts.
Yacht charter experience in Malta
Malta is an outstanding sailing yacht charter destination from April through to October. Its climate and Malta's location at the center of the Mediterranean sea make the islands an excellent base for a sailing yacht charter holiday in the region.
The islands are rather secluded and are filled with numerous anchorages whether they are in sandy beaches such as Cominotto, facing natural gems such as the Azure Window, or in a comfortable spot in Marsamxett Harbour.
If you wish to sail to other places in the Mediterranean, most of them are within short distance of Malta such as Tunisia (160NM), Sicily (58NM) or Lampedusa (95NM).
Main islands for yacht vacations in Malta
Gozo and Comino provide a charming cruising ground for your yacht itineraries. Both are among the best places to dive in the Mediterranean.
Gozo, the legendary Calypso's Isle of the Odyssey, is steeped in myth. It's a peaceful place with rugged landscape and spectacular coastline.
Comino, between Malta and Gozo, is another paradise for yacht enthusiasts. The carefree lifestyle and perfect seclusion of Comino, makes it a superb anchorage by night.
Malta, the main island, is also worth a visit. Several marinas such as the Manoel Island Marina, the Roland Marina or Msida Yacht Marinas are at your disposal to moor your yacht and enjoy the bustling city of Valletta. Do not miss the St John’s Co-Cathedral, the upper Barrakka gardens and the national War Museum in Fort St Elmo during your visit to the capital.
