If you are looking for picture-perfect landscapes for your yachting vacations, you have to set sail for the Bahamas! Charter a yacht and explore some of the 700 islands and 2,000 islets spread over 250,000 km2.

The Bahamas has a destination to delight everyone from the unspoiled Out Islands to the bustling nightlife of Nassau. It is a perfect sailing ground for all the sea-lovers.

Blessed with a perfect location less than 100 NM off the coast of Florida, the islands of the Bahamas feature crystal-clear waters and one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It is the ideal destination for scuba diving, snorkeling, and enjoying water sports.

They are near the Caribbean Sea, but they are officially part of the Atlantic Ocean. Pirates and sailors have cruised the deep ocean channels and shallow banks of this archipelago. Now the Bahamas islands are a popular sailing destination for motor yachts and crewed catamarans.

After a 35 minutes plane trip from Miami to Nassau, you'll be ready to embark on your crewed luxury yacht if you want to indulge yourself. Charter a sailboat if you wish to experience cruising on your own from beautiful beaches to secluded cays.

Private yacht bookings in the Bahamas are available in Nassau, the Exumas, and the Abaco Islands.

Nassau

Located on New Providence Island, Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas. Start and finish your yacht charter in the Bahamas in this bustling town, if you want a convenient getaway to isolated beaches and hidden retreat. You can easily hop from island to island for your outdoor adventures and fresh seafood dining onboard.

To experience the Bahamian's version of Carnaval or "Junkanoo," make sure to stay in Nassau on January 1, July 10, or December 26. Colorful street parades with impressive costumes will dazzle you.

But the most stunning Bahamian attractions are further afield. Glorious beaches, vibrant reefs, and entangled mangroves awaited your visit on a catamaran charter. For pink-tinged sand, sail to Harbour Island with your sailboat charter or go to Andros for blue hole exploring. This rugged island is also famous for fly fishing and crabbing.

With your bareboat charter, you can also cruise to Thunderball Grotto, a beautiful submerged cave located just west of the Staniel Cay in the Exumas region. This pristine tropical location appeared in several James Bond movies, and it provides an exciting snorkeling trip among vibrant marine life in a vibrant reef.
