Porto Cervo is the main centre of the so-called Costa Smeralda, one of the most prestigious tourist areas in Gallura, on Sardinia's north-western coast and the main location for yacht charter in Sardinia. Porto Cervo is a pretty little village of multicoloured buildings, built in front of the natural port and its surrounding hills. At the centre of the Marina is the village, which offers piazzas, shops, a newsagents, and a supermarket, and just a stone throw away is the exclusive Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. The far end of the marina provides a shipyard capable of housing and repairing large luxury yachts.
