We rented this boat for 9 nights out of Mindelo over the 2015-16 Christmas holiday. Barry at Windward Islands was a real pleasure to work with, and we believe we got a fair price. The charter management at the base in Mindelo and the boat itself were excellent. It's a relatively new boat that seems to be well taken care of. It had its share of minor issues, but we've done enough bareboat charters to know that some number of problems on a boat are inevitable. Rudy, the agent at the base, was extremely thorough with the check-out, helpful on the check-in, and very responsive the one time we called with a problem. This review is not about the sailing itself, since there's plenty of information elsewhere (also happy to answer questions by email) -- suffice it to say we had "vigorous" sailing conditions, but very much enjoyed all of the anchorages we visited. We have no hesitation in recommending Cape Verde to experienced sailors, and specifically the set of boats available via Windward Travel for a reliable charter at a reasonable price.
