French Polynesia enjoys tropical, warm, and humid weather all year round. A warm rainy season lasts from November to April and a relatively cool dry season from May to October. The rest of the year rain is rare and temperatures are constantly high, tempered sometimes by refreshing breezes. Except in the Marquesas and the northern Tuamotus, rainfall is abundant, falling in violent showers.
