Arrive at Marmaris and depending on the time, spend your first evening eating at the restaurants in the Marina or sail out to the Yacht Club.
Getaway from the towns and tourists and spend the night in Gerbeksi, an un-spoilt cove amid Roman remains. The evening meal is taken aboard Andrea whilst swinging gently to the anchor.
The next stop is Ekincek, a large beautiful bay where in the afternoon you may visit the impressive Lycian Rock Tombs up the famous Dalyan River. This is a great river trip in a local boat, its where the classic film “The African Queen” was filmed. At the head of the river is the ancient Greek site of Kaunos. Dinner is taken as the sun sets at the magnificent cliff top restaurant overlooking the bay.
After the exciting river trip and chic restaurant at Ekincek it is time to slow the pace down. The sailing is down wind and takes you to a wonderful area sheltered by a string of small Islands. We choose a quiet anchorage for the night and spend the evening on board. Dinner is taken on Deck in the cockpit, the peace only broken by the faint cicadas
Now you are into the swing of things we take you on a brisk sail across the Fetiye bay to a place called Karacoren. You can visit the nearby Byzantium site on Gemeler Island or just swim, sunbathe and relax for the afternoon. Tonight is the chance to sample a typically Turkish menu and be serenaded by the village violinist as you enjoy a truly ethnic experience.
Today we do all the normal things, swim in clear warm blue sea, sunbathe, sail, eat a gourmet lunch and find an idyllic bay for our night time anchorage. Lisa prepares dinner on board and a wonderful evening is finished off with Brandies under the stars.
It's time to make for Gocek and hopefully a good cruising chute run to finish off the sailing with a bit of excitement! Gocek is charming, it’s a great place for gifts and even though it is only small it is quite chic. Your last evening is spent ashore sampling Gocek’s best restaurants.
