Ajaccio

Visit Napoleon Bonaparte's house; spend the evening in the old town.

Ajaccio to Anse d'Aronne

Leave the Gulf of Ajaccio by the passage of the "Sanguinaires". Lunch in the Anse de Lava. The Anse d'Aronne is a bay bordered by a magnificent beach of fine sand. It is by this bay that the submarine Casabianca supplied the resistance during the war.

Anse d'Aronne to Girolata

Wonderful sailing in sight of the red cliffs of la Scandola natural reserve. Anchorage in the evening in the exceptional surroundings of the bay of Girolata under the protection of the fortress. The red of the stone is underlined by the green of the vegetation and contrasts with the indigo of the sea.

Girolata to Calvi

Sail along the coast, which is without a doubt the most impressive and beautiful one on the west side. Evening in port below the "Citadelle aux toits roses" (Citadel with the pink roofs). Visit the old town and its fortifications.

Calvi to St Florent via the Desert of the Agriates

Early departure for one of the bays in this famous desert. A mineral landscape sculptured by time. Choose one of the exceptional anchorages (only in good weather) Pointe Alciolo / Anse Malfalco / Fiume Santu. In case of a northwesterly wind, spend the night in Saint Florent.

St Florent to Macinaggio

Pass cape Corsica. Swimming in the afternoon at the foot of the Genovese towers of St.Agnello or St Marie. Stop over in the port of Macinaggio.

Macinaggio to Bastia

Sailing in the leewards of the island. Visit the old town of Bastia.

Bastia to Campoloro

A long stretch, where you are generally carried by the wind. Stay a mile from the coast as there is shallow water due to the gradual sloping sea bed. Solenzara: flowered town where provisioning is possible.

Campoloro to Solenzara

A long stretch, where you are generally carried by the wind. Stay a mile from the coast as there is shallow water due to the gradual sloping sea bed. Solenzara: flowered town where provisioning is possible.

Solenzara to Porto Novo

Here you will find a mountainous coast. Be careful of many reefs to the south of Porto Vecchio. Superb untamed anchorage, surrounded by sweet smelling foliage.

Porto Novo to the Lavezzi islands

Anchorage Cala Lazarina is reputed for the sinking of Sémillante. A unique landscape made of a chaos of granite.

Lavezzi islands to Bonifacio

Sailing in the Strait of Bonifacio. Spend the night in the port of Bonifacio at the back of a long creek hemmed in by two impressive cliffs. Evening in the old town.

Bonifacio to Campo Moro

Lunch in the port of Tizzano (lobster). Campo Moro is a great anchorage in the Gulf of Valinco. Moor to the west of the bay, near the tower. In the case of "Mistral" choose the anchorage of Porto Pollo to the north of the Gulf, near to the celebrated archeological site of Filitosa. Accessible by taxi.

Campo Moro to Ajaccio

Lunch/anchorage at the foot of cap Muro in the Anse de Cacao in the middle of nature, surrounded by Cormorants. Return to the Imperial City.
