Locals on horseback riding right alongside the cars are an everyday sight around here! Yacht charter in Puerto Rico and the Spanish Virgin Islands is secluded and beautiful destinations for sailing. Vieques and Culebra are about 3-4 hours away from Fajardo sailing. They are much of what was the Caribbean 20 years ago: a laid-back and inexpensive place populated by colorful locals and American "expats" that have chosen the slower pace. Seeing another boat on the water is the exception, not the rule. People respect each other and are very welcoming. You will discover many wild, under-populated and fabulous beaches: Flamenco Beach in Culebra is considered the second most beautiful beach in the world by Discovery Channel. Excellent snorkeling in healthy coral reefs is possible directly from the beach. There you can find leatherback turtles and many colorful fish.

Puerto Rico enjoys a summery tropical climate. Temperatures year-round average 82°F (28°C). The tradewinds provide constant breezes for cool evenings and nights.
