It’s a fact! After a Covid-enforced cancellation in 2020, the Cannes Yachting Festival is due to return to the great delights of its aficionados. As the first show in the boating season, the Yachting Festival is Europe’s leading in-water boating event and the opportunity to see and visit the many new products and world premieres in a luxury and elegant setting.
The event takes place in two of the city’s ports, the Vieux Port and Port Canto. In the Vieux Port, one can find prestigious vessels showcased by the world’s leading shipyards whereas Port Canto Port is dedicated to monohull and multihull sailing. Port Canto also hosts the ‘Brokerage’ area with second-hand sailing yachts, as well as the ‘Toys’ area, a real small paradise for yachting playthings fans. The two sites are linked by regular sea and bus shuttle services departing every 15 minutes (free of charge for visitors).
With 300,000 sq. m of exhibition space spread across both land and water, 430 exhibitors and over 600 boats on display of which over 140 previews, the Cannes Yachting Festival attracts more than 54,000 visitors every year. In 2021 it will rekindle its traditional role of matchmaker, bringing key owners and buyers together, from all four corners of the globe in a magical and elegant atmosphere and a dreamy setting.
Parallel to the Yachting festival, visitors will have the opportunity to visit various stands dedicated to design and architecture, motor and sailing boat construction, nautical services and equipment, as well as the latest innovations from around the world. The Yachting lifestyle lovers will stop over at the Palais des Festivals to visit the Luxury Gallery dedicated exclusively to luxury players and their exceptional products and know-how.
As for catering, various options are available. We are in France and the pleasures of the palate are certainly not left behind. The Panoramic Restaurant offers a bistronomic cuisine and is open to visitors and exhibitors. Located on the top of the Palais des Festivals, its dominant situation offers a unique vista of the prestigious yachts being exhibited in the Vieux Port, the Suquet old quarter, and the bay of Cannes. Should you wish to have a gastronomic meal at Port Canto, you may want to go to The Skippers.
