Held from the 23rd to the 31st of January 2016, the 47th edition of the International Boat Show “Boot Düsseldorf” showed to be a big success, attracting more than 1.500 exhibitors and 247.000 visitors from 52 countries. Now that the event came to its end, and after assisting the 9 days of exhibitions and exclusive new releases, it’s time to tell you all about the event as we have witnessed it.

About Boot Düsseldorf

Renowned for being the world’s biggest boats and water sports trade fair, Boot Düsseldorf welcomes every year since 1969 the most prestigious shipyards, brokerages and yachting enthusiasts. Though sailing and sailing yachts made the most important section of the event, this year’s edition was marked by the considerable presence of motor yachts as well as water sports and diving equipment.

Boot Düsseldorf is considered a world reference yachting event, gathering every year around 1600 exhibitors from all over the world for a whole week of exhibitions, trials, and world premieres.

This 47th edition was a very successful one, an agreement made by both visitors and exhibitors. “Düsseldorf is always worth it!”, the spokespersons for the exhibitors have said it all.

As everyone expected, the fair attracted thousands of visitors, reaching 247000 to mark thus a 2.8% increase compared to last year. What was most remarkable is the great focus on luxury yachts, with a special mark for catamarans. Over the 17 exhibition halls, visitors and exhibitors enjoyed a great nautical experience discovering the latest sailing releases, including yachts, boats, and diving equipment.

As a popular water sports event, Boot Düsseldorf showed to be a huge success as it allowed visitors to examine and try new boats and diving equipment, and was thus faithful to its motto “experience 360° water sports”.

The fair attracted the most prestigious yachting companies: Jeanneau, Bénéteau, Bavaria, Hallberg Rassy, among others were exhibiting a wide range of classic models, as well as new releases.

Another thing to mention is that a number of the yachts available for charter with Windward Islands were exhibited at this prestigious event, as the astonishing Lucia 40.

In a word, Boot Düsseldorf 2016 was a great success, raising the bar of expectations for the next edition, to be held from the 21st to the 29th of January, 2017.
