Why book a bareboat with Windward Islands ? |
|
A 'bareboat' charter is a term which means that a boat is hired without crew or inclusive provisioning.
In the case of a bareboat charter the charterers themselves are responsible for the crewing and provisioning of the yacht.
Bareboat charters have become increasingly popular since the 1990's.
In fact many experienced sailors now book regular bareboat charters rather than owning their own yacht.

Bareboats come in many shapes and sizes in most of the best cruising areas around the world, ie, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Indian Ocean and the Pacific. Boats are available in three categories: monohull sailing yachts, catamaran and powerboats. Catamarans are ideal for families and larger groups as they offer more spacious and private accommodation separated by multiple head compartments. They also offer comparatively huge communal space in their cockpits and decks. They don't roll and heel, making them more comfortable for the novice crew. |
