Biographies



Emmanuel Pertuisot - President
Having graduated from the French Merchant Navy, Emmanuel created, together with his business partner Daniel Doppler, the first website on the market related to chartering business for crewed and bareboat yachts in the Caribbean.
Emmanuel is in charge of the Caribbean area for the charter business, as well as the development of brokerage and yacht management activities.

Mathilde Amouroux
After a Masters in International Relations, Mathilde lived in Asia for 8 years, where she worked in the finance industry. She has now relocated to New York City where she joined Windward Island in 2011. She speaks French, English, Chinese and Japanese.

Geoffroy Bergeron
Geoffroy has sailed his entire life. Even from the tender age of 19, he spent a year at sea circumnavigating the Atlantic and South America. Geoffroy has a passion for everything thats sea, wind and voyage. Barcelona has been his base port from the age of 6, and he plays a very active role in a major event there : Sailing to Barcelona for the 4th World Congress of the UICN, a collection of the worlds mythical boats reunited for the cause of the protection of the global marine environment. He speaks fluent french, english, spanish and catalan.

Geraldine Bernard Berry
Geraldine has been involved in the yachting industry since 2005, as Chef and Chief-Stewardess on board Super-Yachts.
She sailed in many places as Caribbean, Med, Red Sea, Indian Ocean and Asia, as professional crew on 60Ft to 100Ft sailing-yacht and she has also10 year experience in events organisation,

Sebastien Bernard
Sebastien has been professional Yacht Captain for the last 15 years, with over 30 years of sailing experience.
He has worked for known brands yachts as Nautor’s Swan, Baltic Yachts, Jongert or Alloy Yachts.
With a British & French ‘Yacht, Commercial & Passenger Master’, he has sailed many places as Atlantic, Caribbean, Med, Red Sea, Indian Ocean and Asia on yachts up to 100Ft.
A Business graduate from Paris, Sebastien is specialised in the Project Management for yachts construction and refit in Asia.

Hugues Bourgeois
Based in Hong Kong, Hugues recently joined Windward Islands as a partner and is leading its APM (Asia Pacific Middle East) expansion. Hugues brings valuable brand building and business development experience. He is a graduate from the University of Delaware and has over 15 years of sales, marketing and management experience in consumer brands, both in Europe and the Asia Pacific region.

Olivier Capot
Before joining the Windward Islands team, he was a captain for 17 years in the Mediterranean, Britany, the Caribbean and across the Atlantic. He settled down in Florida and couldn't resist returning to the boating industry. Olivier now draws on this experience to find the perfect boat and the perfect location for Windward Islands' clients.

Catherine Cardyn
Opened the Windward Islands UK office in January 2004. A French national who lived in London for 13 years, Catherine has lived and travelled extensively on all five continents and speaks French, English and Portuguese. With a Political Science degree from Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris, plus work experience in investment banking, executive search, and travel consultancy, Catherine's varied background brings considerable expertise to her current role in advising Windward Islands' clients on all aspects of their yacht charter.

Debbie De Villiers
Debbie has worked in the charter industry (including Sunsail South Africa) for 6 years booking clients worldwide.
She has spent most of her career travelling in Europe and the Indian Ocean. She likes nothing more than liaising with clients - helping them charter great boats in stunning locations. Now based in New Zealand, she looks after clients based in Australia and New Zealand.

Carine Fournier
Before joining the Windward Islands team in France, Carine worked for three years as a crew member on luxury crewed yachts n the West Indies and the Mediterranean. Her responsibilities also included recruitment for a sailing school. Today she uses this experience to full advantage in planning charters for Windward Islands' clients. In her spare time she enjoys sailing in regattas.

Georgia Ferrara
She studied Economy and Business Communication at the University of Palermo before moving to business consulting and strategic development in the Publishing, Finance, Tourism, Luxury and Health and Wellness Industries. Ms. Ferrara collaborated with Aicon Yachts and assisted in the creation and transformation of Aironblue, The Yachting Escape, a subsidiary of Aicon Yachts, where she worked as CEO of the Mediterranean's largest company-owned fleets until her departure. With close to ten years of yachting management experience, as well as her love of travel and languages including, English, Spanish and Italian.




 

 



Daniel Doppler - CEO
Co-founded Windward Islands in 1999 with Emmanuel Pertuisot. After gaining an MBA from Strasbourg University, and a spell as a trader on the Paris Stock Exchange he created and ran an adverstising, events and internet company for 9 years. In 2000 he sold his company to focus on Windward Islands. Daniel is now in charge of business and partnership development worldwide and also guest lecturer at the Pamplin College of Business, VirginiaTech.

Cyril Gantier
Is based in London and manages the UK team. Since he graduated 10 years ago, Cyril's professional career has been in the sales and tourism industries working for big organisations such as GTA (Gullivers Travel Associates). In his spare time he also founded and managed the Windward Islands football team UK.
Cyril brings his own experience to offer the perfect boat and the best customer service.

Fabienne Gosselin
Holds a degree in languages and international business and has lived in Germany for 15 years.
She has worked in different domains, including the tourism industry, and joined the Windward Islands team in 2005. She speaks French, German, English and Spanish.

Delphine Kramer
Delphine comes from a sailing family : her father completed a round the world trip in a monohull and her brother won the Route du Rhum race in 2002. She has sailed in Brittany, Polynesia, Turkey and most recently in the Caribbean and the Bahamas together with her seafaring husband. Having studied in internation commerce, she specialized in events management, project managing company incentive packages for 4 years.

Patricia Pharao
Before joining Windward islands, Patricia worked for the last 5 years as chef stewardess on numerous luxury yachts in the western Mediterranean . This provided her with a very extensive understanding of the yachting industry.
Patricia has worked in various areas such as restaurants , tourism and she also developed several cultural events in her home town Aarhus in Denmark.
In her spare time she enjoys creating graphic arts and sailing the Med with her family and friends. Patricia speaks Danish, Swedish , English and French fluently. Patricia is based in Nice, the centre of the Cote d'Azur.

Chantal Rose
A Graduate from the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK (CIM) and Seychelles Tourism and Travel Management School. Chantal started Helicopter Seychelles in 1995, where she ran the operations team of pilots and crew as well as managing sales and marketing. Originally from the Seychelles she has been living in London for the past 9 years. Chantal has been working as a key member of the Interval International Limited Travel Exchanges network for the past 7 years. She joined Windward Islands in early 2009 as a fresh challenge.

Simone Rhodes
A BA Hons Graduate in modern languages from Exeter University, she joined Windward Islands in 2006 to strengthen the UK operation. With over 15 years' experience in sales, marketing, advertising, PR, research, design, and events management, Simone is now thoroughly enjoying the client liaison and international scope of her role.

Andrea Schnarwiler
Has been involved in teaching and training for most of her professional life, but her passion for sailing has led her to explore many parts of the globe on chartered, or more recently, her own yachts. A thirst for adventure led Andrea to explore the Caribbean Islands where she started operating charters for Windward Islands' clients. On her return to Switzerland she assumed responsibility for clients in Switzerland, Italy and Eastern Europe. In her leisure time Andrea teaches navigation skills to would-be skippers on her racing yacht in Brittany.


Mariangela Simone
While studying English and Spanish at Federico II University she started her career in Luxury hospitality as event manager at Hotel Cincotta in Panarea. Her attitude to create a feeling with customers and familiarity with languages brought her in the Sales and Markeing Dpt of Aicon Yachts, company where she lasted for the next 8 years as Customer Care and Service Manager assisting about 300 vessels all over the world. She consolidates her esperience during the permanence in Ft. Lauderdale nautical district to start up Customer Care & Service Division of the most importand Dealer of Aicon Yachts.
Expert in motoryachts, now consultant for a brand new project of 60' sailing yacht designed by Massimo Paperini and fascinated by the word of sailing joins Windward Islands full of expectations.

Colin Srivastava
Colin joined Windward Islands as Commercial Director in 2010, bringing with him broad experience in international corporate sales, management and business development. He has been based in Paris since 2001, where he set up and ran a successful expat services company and was a consultant for several start-ups. Before Paris he lived in England, Italy and India, and his love of team sports took him to Nice to play two seasons of rugby.

Karen Van Vreden
Karen has been involved in marketing for most of her career. She is based in Durban, South Africa and has been working in the sailing industry for the last 10 years managing and marketing the sail training division of Professional Yacht Management. For the last 3 years she has also been responsible for the charter division, assisting clients with their charter bookings, initially with Sunsail and now with Windward Islands.
