This typical mediterranean town is famous worldwide for the Unesco monument Diocletian's Palace, which is the nucleus of the city. Trogir : Trogir is a historic town 27 kilometres west of the city of Split. The historic centre of Trogir has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997 because of its old part originating from Roman-Greek period. Among cultural monuments cathedral of St.Lovre is one of the most famous. Trogir has three towers, and one of them, Kamerlengo gives special visual identity to this town. Trogir Marina lies on the northern side of the island of Ciovo, between Trogir Bridge and Cape Cubrijan, facing the town of Trogir.
