| Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean: situated in the middle of the Western Mediterranean, just 12 km from Corsica, and at a distance of 120 km from Tuscany. The Sardinian coastline is generally high and rocky, and runs fairly straight in many sections and then articulated with promontories and wide and deep bays surrounded by islets, in others. Sardinian ports compete rather well with the Mediterranean's other chic hot spots. Alghero : Alghero is a town of about 42,000 inhabitants in the province of Sassari in north-west Sardinia. Marina Di Alghero is a harbor complex located at the southern end of the Port of Alghero, with wharfs situated below the walls of the old city. Marina di San Elmo lets you make the most of your boat, allowing you to enjoy all your available space thanks to its jetties which extend up to 40 meters in length. The harbor area offers 100 jetties for yachts measuring up to 50m in length with a draft of up to 4.8m. Portisco : The Portisco base is located in the beautiful Emerald Coast, between Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo, only 10 minutes from Olbia Airport. The Portisco Marina, consists of a natural green cove, ideal for visitors, offering a variety of services in a warm and hospitable environment. Porto Cervo : Porto Cervo is the main centre of the so-called Costa Smeralda, one of the most prestigious tourist areas in Gallura, on Sardinia's north-western coast. Porto Cervo is a pretty little village of multicoloured buildings, built in front of the natural port and its surrounding hills. At the centre of the Marina is the village, which offers piazzas, shops, a newsagents, and a supermarket, and just a stone throw away is the exclusive Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. The far end of the marina provides a shipyard capable of housing and repairing large luxury yachts.
