| | | | | | | The beauty and uniqueness of the Kornati moved the croatian authorities to proclaim the Kornati a national park. In the Kornati National Park there are around 30 piers and about 20 ports where guests can try wonderful seafood and traditional cuisine.
The Kornati are situated in the North Dalmatia area between Zadar and Sibenik. This labyrinth of sea and rocks consists of approximatively 140 unpopulated islands, islets and cliffs with a surface area of almost seventy square kilometers, making it the most indented group of islands in the Mediterranean and a perfect place for all types of yacht charter. Alongside the numerous picturesque little islets and just next to the sea there is a pretty little salt lake, which also attracts visitors. The Kornati islands have been one of the most beloved mediterranean destinations for yacht charter, over the last 5 years. There are no permanent residents and most of the area belongs to the people of Murter island who come to tend to their olive groves, vineyards and orchards.
